XemailCampaign offers two powerful modes to run campaigns: Manual Mode and AI Mode. Both are designed to protect deliverability while maximizing replies, but they serve different levels of control, experience, and scale.
This article explains how each mode works, when to use them, and best practices for switching between the two.
Manual Mode gives you full control over every aspect of your email campaign. You decide what to send, when to send, and how to iterate based on performance.
Write and edit email copies manually
Create custom follow-up sequences
Set sending schedules and daily limits
Choose personalization variables
Pause, edit, or restart campaigns anytime
Manual Mode is ideal if:
You already have proven email copies
You want tight control over brand voice
You’re running high-value or niche campaigns
You prefer hands-on optimization
Keep first-touch emails short and curiosity-driven
Change the angle in every follow-up
Monitor replies daily and refine copy weekly
Avoid increasing volume aggressively
Recommended for agencies, consultants, and advanced outbound teams.
AI Mode automates campaign creation and optimization using XemailCampaign’s intelligence layer. It analyzes your ICP, industry, and responses to continuously improve results.
Generates initial email sequences
Create a company persona with confidence score for your campaign
Set KPIs for you desired results
Adjusts sending patterns to protect deliverability
Learns from reply signals (positive, neutral, negative)
AI Mode works best if:
You want to launch campaigns quickly
You’re testing new ICPs or markets
You don’t have outbound copy expertise
You want scalable outbound without micromanagement
Provide clear ICP and offer inputs
Review AI-generated copy before launch
Let campaigns run long enough for learning
Avoid frequent manual overrides
Recommended for founders, lean teams, and fast-scaling outbound motions.
You can switch modes at the workspace level.
Important notes:
Switching modes does not reset domain reputation

You can switch from manual mode to AI mode, but only before you upload contacts. Once you begin working in manual mode with contacts uploaded, switching to AI mode requires contacting support.
Note: Once you switch to AI mode, you cannot return to manual mode.
