What is Audit Report and How to use it for Campaign?

Overview

The Audit Report is a comprehensive deliverability analysis tool that helps you optimize your email campaigns before and during execution. As XemailCampaign is a deliverability-first platform, this feature ensures your emails reach the inbox by evaluating your domain reputation, DNS settings, and email content quality.

When to Use the Audit Report

You can run an audit at two key stages:

  1. Before launching: Review your campaign setup to identify and fix potential deliverability issues before sending emails to your prospects.
  2. During an active campaign: If your campaign performance drops or you've made changes to your sequences, regenerate the audit to diagnose issues and verify improvements.

What the Audit Report Analyzes

Domain Reputation & Inbox Placement Test (IPT)

The report evaluates your sending domain's reputation and age, then shows you where your emails are landing across major email service providers (ESPs) like Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and others. Results are presented in an easy-to-read chart format showing inbox vs. spam placement rates. You'll also see the complete seed list used for testing and detailed IPT metrics.

DNS Records & Blacklist Check

We verify whether your DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) are properly configured and check if any of your sending IPs are blacklisted. This section highlights authentication issues that could harm your deliverability.

Spam Analysis

This is a detailed content review of your email sequences. The analysis identifies spammy words in your copy, suggests alternative phrasing, detects broken links, and evaluates other content elements that might trigger spam filters. You'll receive actionable recommendations to improve your email content.

Viewing Results by Sequence and User

If you've created multiple email sequences (for example, four different follow-up sequences), the audit report analyzes each one separately so you can review them individually. Similarly, if multiple team members are sending from different email addresses within your domain, you can check user-specific results to identify if any particular sender is experiencing deliverability issues.

Regenerating and Sharing Reports

After making changes based on audit recommendations, you can regenerate the report to verify improvements. The audit report can also be shared with teammates and across workspaces, making it easy to collaborate on deliverability optimization with your team.
